SPECIAL THANKS! - This is truly a collaborative image! So I want to thank both of the artists who were really the back bone talent behind this effort...

Color & Background Design by me.
(colored) Dream Clock: [link] and Mandala: [link]

Completed on 14 'Faebruary' 2004 - With all the varied artwork used in this image, there's no telling how many hours went into this. The finished product was compiled in PhotoImpact.

FYI - Liodain told me I could color this any way I wanted. So I fashioned this after a character who my dear friend, tehkella has played in one of my games long ago... This would be Ostarra SpringDreaming of the DaySpring tribe. Ostarra is a master of tattoos and a fabulous runecaster as well... So when I was offered the opportunity to color this picture - That's who came to mind!

Consider this a rare event... Imagine you are currently receiving a private consultation in Ostarra's den.

Now, if you look very closely, this is a six rune spread. For each rune, hiding in the background, there is a guardian. Can you find all six of them?

All comments and critiques are welcome! Thanks for visiting my gallery!

This is beautiful!! Great work! Interesting sidenote: while trying to type "great", I definately typed "Greka" which is a cool-sounding name. Hooray! Anyway, I think your cg-ing skills are improving all the time, which means they can only get better! keep it up!

This looks great for a collaboration piece of art. I most confess, though, that I think the mandala you added to this picture is a little out of place. The Dream Clock fits somehow perfectly, probably because of it's golden/brown colours, but the mandala falls a bit out of it. Still, the picture itself, or where it goes about, is wonderful. There's only one more little critic I'd like to give before I go over to praising. It looks as if this woman doesn't have any neck at all. There's just some empty blackness (brownness, actually, but you know what I mean). You've got her tattoo or necklace, and then it suddenly stops, to continue again with her head. That makes it look rather odd.

I tried to find the six guardians, but I'm afraid to say I could only find five of them. ^^; It's very nicely done, though. I really had to search for them, but once you know what you're searching for, it's quite easy to find them. Apart from the last one, then. :S It's a nice detail, very subtilly done.

It appears the colouring happened quite nice as well. I can't say there's much progress with the last picture, but then again, I have a failing mind sometimes and it's getting late here. You coloured her hands perhaps a bit too greenish/dark, but if she gardens a lot, I guess it's quite alright. I love her hair colour and her dress. There's just one question left...

What does that red spot do there on her left sleeve? Oo

Ok... here I have a few things to confess...

#1 - I created the background before I even know what colors the girl would have. That background alone was a work of art in my opinion, and I was almost tempted to sumbit it here without the girl at first. The Mandala is fitting... I feel it's her window... And I feel that the clock is not a real, working one (it's much too small) - but rather - it's a replica from a friend who has been to Mechanus. (Again, this PlaneScape thing) - I love the mandala! I think it lends a lot to the image... and somehow it made it brighter... some people have said my art is quite dark in color and tones I use.

#2 - Her neck is there... but it's shaded. She has a choker necklace that went quite high up in the sketch, but I do agree that I overshaded it almost out of existance. My bad! I'll watch that in future images. - THANKS!

#3 - The hands are also my bad. In the attempt to get those stones to glow green... The final render took out the glow and made everything else green. It looked glowy before... but she IS an herbologist too, so I guess we can call it a green thumb gone wild! Teeheehee! Yeah - I have to work on the glow.

#4 - YOU ROCK! I always love your comments! Thank you!! You keep me on my toes!
